Hatching eggs

Eggs from our own pens, collected fresh, never washed, never shipped. Pickup only — we'll arrange a time that works.

We don't take payment through the website. You submit a request, we get in touch, and we schedule a pickup. If the hens aren't laying, you go on the waitlist in the order your request came in.

Please note: we do NOT vent sex chickens. Chicks from our hatching eggs grow out unsexed — plan for roosters.

Our incubator — where eggs are held before pickup
Eggs are collected daily and held no more than 7 days before pickup.

Ayam Cemani

Waitlist  ·  $7 / egg (price may change)

The Ayam Cemani is an Indonesian breed with fibromelanosis — excess black pigmentation throughout the entire bird. Feathers, skin, comb, wattles, meat, organs, and bones are all black. The only thing not black is the blood and the eggs. Our line produces strong, consistent fibro expression.

What to expect: Fibromelanosis is genetically dominant but expression varies. Chicks hatch black and stay black. We do not guarantee hatch rates on hatching eggs — fertility in our pens is verified, but incubation variables (temperature swings, humidity, handling) are out of our control once the eggs leave the farm. Eggs are collected daily and held no more than 7 days before pickup.

Sultan

Waitlist  ·  $8 / egg (price may change)

The Sultan is a Turkish ornamental breed — full crest, muffs, beard, v-shaped comb, five toes, feathered legs and feet. They've been bred in Turkish palace gardens since at least the 1800s. Gentle, quiet, and genuinely strange-looking in the best way. On the Livestock Conservancy watch list.

What to expect: Sultan fertility is seasonal and can be inconsistent — they're ornamentals, not production birds. Eggs are small. Crest genetics vary in offspring. Same no-guarantee policy as above.

Request eggs or join the waitlist

Tell us what you're after. We'll email or call within a few days — sooner when the hens are cooperating.

We'll only call if email doesn't reach you.

No payment now. If the breed is available, we'll contact you to schedule a pickup. If not, you'll be added to the waitlist and notified in order.

Pickup only — no shipping

We do not ship hatching eggs. Shipped eggs have notoriously poor hatch rates no matter how carefully they're packed, and we'd rather tell you no than sell you eggs that won't hatch. Pickup is at the farm by appointment, in central Oklahoma. We'll send directions when we confirm your time.

Payment via Stripe online or cash at pickup. Local pickup only.
