Everything Seasoning Blend

Everything blend is great on most everything!

I discovered the Everything seasoning on bagels many years ago. I figured out how to make it and now sprinkle it on homemade bread & rolls, buttered toast, hummus, rice, grains, vinaigrette dressing, and vegetables. I use a lot of this seasoning!

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons dried minced garlic (or granules)
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion (or granules)
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon crushed fennel or caraway seeds
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon of salt

Blend these together and store in a glass jar away from heat. Start sprinkling!

I purchase bulk herbs from Mountain Rose Herbs because their herbs and spices are organically grown, the farmers are valued and appropriately compensated, they practice zero waste and their packaging is sustainably produced and recyclable.  It helps that they are located in Oregon which keeps the price of shipping minimal.  But their packing and shipping are known for taking longer than others so I plan accordingly. There are herb shops throughout North America and other online companies that offer quality herbs.
